This weeks post I am going to talk about an appalling set of events I read about in the news. The lack of moral guidance shown by the people in this article are disturbing and concerning.
To summarize the article, a 14 year old girl was raped by a family member and became impregnated. Other family members tried to make her abort the baby by forcing her to take "plan B" pills and Cinnamon tablets. After these failed to abort the baby, the group of assaulting individuals held down the 14 year old, 8 month pregnant girl, then bounced up and down on her pregnant belly for roughly 6 hours until the girl began to bleed and then had a still birth of the child they had just killed. They did not take the 14 year old girl in for medical treatment, and they tried to cover up their tracks by burning the poor dead baby on their charcoal grill. When they were unsuccessful with burning the babies corpse they put it in a plastic bag and 'disposed of it'.
Wow... Where do I even begin on this story? These crimes were committed on a 14 year old girl and a poor innocent unborn child by their FAMILY. How does anyone justify the moral ramifications of assaulting and killing a human life form that is so innocent and helpless? How does the moral compass falter so miserably of the family member who raped and impregnated the poor girl? What was going through the minds of these individuals as they smashed a poor child to death in the womb?
